Frequently Asked Questions

What types of patio furniture do you assemble?

We assemble many types of patio furniture, including outdoor tables, chairs, sectionals, loungers, benches, umbrellas, fire pit tables, storage boxes, and similar outdoor furniture items.

Do I need to have the boxes in the room first?

Yes, if possible. Having the boxes near the patio, deck, garage, or setup area helps the appointment go smoother. If boxes need to be moved from a garage or storage area on the same property, our builders may be able to help as long as the boxes are easily accessible and can be moved safely.

Can patio furniture be assembled outside?

Yes, patio furniture is usually best assembled near the area where it will be used. The setup area should be clear, safe, dry, and easy for the builder to access.

Should I open the boxes before you arrive?

You do not need to fully unpack everything, but please confirm that all boxes have arrived before your appointment. If there is visible damage to the boxes or product, please let us know before the appointment.

What if my furniture arrives damaged?

If the product is damaged, we will let you know before continuing when possible. Manufacturer defects, damaged parts, missing pieces, or poor product quality are not the responsibility of Hand2Hammer Services.

Can you fix furniture that was assembled incorrectly by someone else?

In many cases, yes. However, we cannot guarantee that previously damaged, stripped, weakened, or incorrectly assembled furniture can be fully restored.

Are customers responsible for pre-existing damage?

Yes. Hand2Hammer Services is not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden damage, weak surfaces, unstable structures, moisture issues, pest damage, improper grading, poor drainage, or unsafe conditions that existed before our work began.

Are you responsible for manufacturer defects?

No. Hand2Hammer Services is not responsible for manufacturer defects, missing parts, damaged pieces, incorrect instructions, poor product design, product recalls, or product failure not caused by our workmanship.

Do you remove packaging?

We clean up the work area after assembly. We can break down boxes and place packaging and dispose the leftover debris.
