Do I need to have the boxes delivered first?
Yes. The product must be on the property before we can begin. Having the boxes placed near the setup area also helps the appointment go smoother. If the boxes need to be moved from a garage, storage area, or another nearby area on the same property, our builders may be able to help as long as it can be done safely.
Do I need a permit, HOA approval, or landlord approval?
Yes, if your project requires it. The customer is responsible for checking and obtaining any required permits, HOA approvals, landlord permissions, easement approvals, setback approvals, and local code permissions before installation.
Will the builder need to walk through my home?
Our builders only access the areas needed to complete the job. For outdoor projects, this usually means the outdoor work area and any agreed-upon path needed to reach it. Builders will not enter rooms or areas of the home that are not related to the project.
What if the ground is not level like I thought it was?
If the selected area is not level or safe for the product, our builder will let you know and may discuss other possible placement options. If there is no safe place to build on the property that day, the appointment may need to be rescheduled. A trip fee, standby fee, or mobilization fee may apply. Our goal is to make sure your structure is placed as safely as possible so your family and guests can enjoy it with confidence.
What if there is something wrong with my product?
If you or the builder find something faulty with the product while it's being built. Our builder will bring it up to you, sometimes pieces don't always come together or some peices come broken, our builder will instruct you which number to call for a replacement and we will build the rest to the best our ability and come back with no extra charge to you to finish the job when the replacement part has been delivered.
What if your builder breaks or damages my product?
If damage is caused by our workmanship, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review the issue and work toward a fair solution. Do I need to be home during the service?
Yes. Someone 18 or older must be present during the service. This allows our builder to confirm the project location, ask questions if needed, and communicate any issues with the product or work area.
Can I change the location after the project starts?
Yes, but location changes may result in additional fees. Once work has started, changing the location can affect labor time, safety, leveling, and completion.
What if I want the completed structure moved?
Once a playset, gazebo, pergola, or small outdoor structure has been assembled in the customer-approved location, moving it more than 15 feet from the original selected spot requires an additional relocation fee. Relocation fees start at $150 minimum and may increase based on size, weight, distance, ground condition, number of workers needed, and whether partial disassembly or reassembly is required. This does not apply to sheds. We do not relocate sheds
What happens if the area is not ready when you arrive?
If the location is not ready, unsafe, blocked, not level, too small, or different from what was described, the project may need to be paused, rescheduled, or repriced.Rescheduling fee may apply.
Do you work in bad weather?
Outdoor work may need to be rescheduled because of rain, storms, high wind, unsafe heat, muddy ground, or poor lighting. Safety and quality come first.
Are you responsible for missing parts or product defects?
No. Hand2Hammer Services is not responsible for missing parts, damaged pieces, manufacturer defects, poor product design, incorrect instructions, product recalls, or product failure not caused by our workmanship.
